Many businesses consider e-invoice enablement as only a portal activation task, but the real challenge begins after implementation. Companies need to ensure that their billing software, ERP systems, and internal approval workflows are properly aligned with e-invoice requirements. A small configuration error in invoice data fields, tax calculations, or customer information can create reporting failures and delay business operations. Organizations should test their complete invoice lifecycle before going live, including invoice generation, IRN creation, cancellation handling, and reconciliation with GST returns, to avoid disruptions after enablement.
